Lee Memorial Health System is launching a $70M Epic Electronic Medical Record expansion enterprise-wide. This high-profile information system transformation project will have a strategic impact on the core operations and processes of the organization for both the inpatient and outpatient environments.


As part of the Lee Memorial Health System's Ancillary Systems & Implementation team this position will support the ongoing project requests from the organization. This position will interact with Lee Memorial Health System's operational departments to scope equipment &/or systems used in our various diagnostic areas. A critical aspect of success is a candidate's ability to assess the departmental needs, research, recommend & implement best of breed solutions that meet the needs of our ancillary departments.

In order to successfully accomplish their goals the individual selected will manage vendors, internal resources and then coordinate the implementation of these purchases through go live. The successful candidate will have an in depth understand of the Cardiology & Radiology modalities and understand other various ancillary diagnostic systems (for example: EEG/EKG). In order to manage the implementation process applicants must have proven project management/coordination background with a track record of delivering successful implementations on time, within scope and on budget.


This individual will also understand the complex workflow structure surrounding data handling, physician workflows & reporting as it relates to various hardware & software solutions. The successful candidate will have exceptional skills building internal relationships, managing vendors, selecting /recommending products, scheduling, prioritizing and setting goals. This position requires someone who is self motivated to deliver exceptionally detailed & precise work.

Another key component to this role is the product selection process; the successful applicant will understand how to research world class solutions for complex problems, provide alternatives, understand our current hardware/software configuration/s and then successfully manage vendor relationships to provide Lee Memorial Health System the best possible outcome. While this position is not a project management role it does require the ability to craft key relationships with sr. leadership across the health system & see multiple projects simultaneously to completion. The successful candidate will be required to drive projects to meet deadlines and is responsible for a product's implementation until go live is completed.

To be successful in this role a candidate must possess a vast understanding of hardware and software solutions used in clinical diagnostic departments, networking, telecommunications, facilities management, data exchange (including and understanding of DICOM & PACS systems), integration, strategic planning, testing, training, human resources & the ability to evaluate Lee Memorial Health System's current corporate infrastructure & assets. This position requires a dynamic individual with a high level of organization, problem solving, communication and energy. The successful candidate will be able to manage their daily duties while offering exceptional on-site customer support, product knowledge and presentation. It is imperative that candidates are able to thrive on a tight schedule and have the proven ability to complete projects on time.

The highest levels of verbal and written communication skills are essential for consideration.

Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's and/or at least 3 yrs of directly applicable experience
Experience: 3+ yrs of directly applicable experience (healthcare, clinical, other IT); project lead experience required
Training: Clinician, Healthcare Operations and/or IT training
License: Clinician preferred for certain positions
Other: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Project and Visio (or similar tools)
