The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for the successful planning and execution of Revenue Cycle systems, including a multi-year, multi-facility, enterprise-wide clinical and revenue cycle systems implementation. The Revenue Cycle Manager reports directly to the CIO and directs the work of the project leadership and staff in their respective applications/departments. The Revenue Cycle Manager maintains the scope and work plan and ensures that all milestones and deliverables are on time and budget. The Revenue Cycle Manager is tasked with the internal communication of project strategies, high level deliverables, plans, and schedules. Ensures all outcomes and deliverables meet organizational goals, objectives and quality standards. Major responsibilities include the definition, adoption and consistent execution of system requirements, communication, change management, issues management, and post-implementation support. S/he must propose measures of success and targeted outcomes and execution strategies. The Revenue Cycle Manager, will lead and manage the development and implementation of the revenue applications, as part of information system transformation projects that will have a strategic impact on the core operations and processes of the organization
Job summary:
· Revenue Cycle Manager will have in depth knowledge of hospital operations in multi-facility health system.
· Revenue Cycle Manager will be experienced in the full implementation lifecycle of hospital Revenue Cycle applications (EPIC Experience Preferred).
· Revenue Cycle Manager will be responsible for completion of the Revenue Cycle project tasks within a timeline and budget.
· Revenue Cycle Manager will be the primary contact for the Revenue Cycle technology portfolio and will coordinate projects and communications to all impacted stakeholders.
· Reports to the CIO with budget responsibility.
· Requires the ability to communicate with project leadership, clinicians and technical staff.
· Must be a champion for all projects in his/her portfolio across the institution and serve as a positive role model for encouraging others to embrace operational changes associated with the implementation and other application technology projects.
· Will manage 20-25 staff members
Requirements: Application oversight responsibility for Hospital Billing, Finance, ADT, HIM, Scheduling and document imaging.
Six years of progressive IT experience or a combination of education and experience in an IT environment required
· Strong knowledge healthcare technology for hospitals.
· Epic implementation experience preferred
· Experience leading and motivating staff required
· Understanding of health care industry, preferably in a multi-facility health system.
· Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems required
· Strong communication skills written and verbal required
· Excellent organizational and skills required
· Strong facilitation skills required
· An understanding of computer system capabilities to address process requirements required
· Skilled in Microsoft Office products including MS Project, Visio and PowerPoint required
· Experience managing multiple assignments simultaneously preferred
· Energetic with strong desire to learn preferred.
Education / Certification:
· Bachelors degree
· Epic certification preferred
